What to do when the family has finally gone to sleep and you've indulged in vodka and diet rite (the drink of champions).... post on LJ??? Where you forgot you signed up like 12 months ago??? wonder if you'll be missing far too many n's, since betwee prepping for vacation, going on vacation, and recovering from the vacation sickness, you haven't seen your friend who knows some fucking magic way to fix your keyboard button that your lovable (yet entirely evil) ewly turned 4 year old snapped off your cheapo laptop???
edulge all your sick fantasies at once by looking for sex toys, followed by searching plastic surgery sites, followed by disney vacation sweepstakes, followed by a nice romp through "buying an rv used" sites, ad how to make money on the road???
hmmm
yes, we have an interesssssssting life, don't we?
Do we know we're boring only when the tivo runs out of law and order (in all 3 incarnations, first-runs AND reruns on ALL channels) .. and anyway, you've see them ALL?
By the way, we saw an ABBA cover band/theatrical showlast ight- they were AWESOME. No, really... don't tell me you hate ABBA, I don't fucking care, really, at all....
BUT the music was TIGHT...what a group of musicians... annnnnd, even if you hate ABBA, you have got to give those girls props for not only the notes, but the stamina and costume changes, holy crap!!! spandex is hard enough to get in ad out of when you're dry and have a lot of time... but WOW.. sweaty and such... yikes! they had a immense amount of changes, too...and the voices were amazing... homestly, even the average soprano would have issues with the harmonies and belting that they did.. but this one woman was just spot-on..
plus, everyone give my erik major amazing husband points forevermore for not only searching it out, buying me tickets for xmas, annd GOING with me (and staying, even though I sang every song at the top of my lungs anddancing in myseat like a nutjob)....but actually standing for the "dancing quee" encore and dancing with me??? what a guy!
and for once, the sax player had a selmer mark 6 and erik did't curse him and all his offspring cause theguy actually had a SWEET tone, and kicked ass blowing, so he did justice to the selmer and earned it...
ok gals, when we all going out partying??? I looked into qxt's... doubt it's happening, unless we all suddenly become nubile 20-somethings again, they're getting pretty tough with la velvet rope these days.. but my man, markus, will let me know any other 80's ights he finds....
Disney rocked, and I want to go back...ummmmmm...now. ok, maybe ext year, at least??? but perhaps we should finih paying for this trip first!!!!
My main desire these days is to somehow, some way find a path to having my kids sleep over somewhere ANYWHERE AT THIS POINT!!!! Leif had issue even with sleeping at grandma's the night b4 vacation- Even with ALL of us there!!!
How the hell are we ever going to have a getaway for just the two of us at this rate??? Leif says he'll be ready at 18 or 20  arrrggggh!!!
Ok, I need to plan some camping for the spring now...
and I need to get out MORE!!!   I understand this only goes out to my like 2 or 3 lj friends, but hey, throw me a line if anyone has any interesting plans I may enjoy , let me know!!!
ok, so now, lj posting while drinking... a new pastime... ???

Wow.. going through facebook has brought up so many old things, old friends, people and places that i had blocked out of my life pretty much on purpose, sometimes on accident...
So many people that really did matter to me so long ago..
and  today I found something horrible...
An old friend who I hadn't spoken to in years, but still loved dearly, has died.
What hurts most is that he wasn't even far away. Apparently he had moved back to Sayreville, still hung out at the Pank...and passed away this summer.
He was a beautiful soul, a sweet, gentle, kind guy who always made everyone feel as if they were special and worthwhile. From seeing his work online, it seems he only got better at it!
This is his unfinished work about his fight with cancer:

Here i go again...
Spent another week tortured by migraines.. Had one, took imitrex... it went away...went to bed.. woke up with another migraine...
Stop...rinse...repeat...all week long... paused in between only to have a body that ached, and my hair falling out, and having raging mood swings, too!
Wonder why my kids were happy today that I was completely incapacitated and they could just ignore me and sit in front of screens eating chips (at least until Michele came over and kept them from going utterly feral)..
Anywho, visited the dr., got shot up with god-knows-what that dulled the pain and stopped the puking...left with prescriptions for a whole slew of new and fancy drugs to try!!!
At least I don't have to get up early to child-sit tomorrow.
Also, note to self: Do not look up old friends on facebook... they are all much, much more accomplished and thin and happy and together then you are... sighhh.
